Con questa seconda stazione del progetto triennale con i 12 allievi / attori del Laboratorio di Prato, Tiezzi
completa il lavoro sul testo La Madre di Bertolt Brecht.
La storia industriale di Prato con le sue lotte operaie e la nascita del distretto sono stati i punti di partenza
della Tavola di orientamento/Brecht/La Madre-01. Accostando un inventario di frammenti di memoria vissuta al dramma didattico di Brecht, si è verificato un corto circuito tra la realtà “vera” e il testo brechtiano.
Frammenti da testi di altri autori approfondiscono ed illuminano la prospettiva unilaterale del dramma. Bertolt Brecht ha tratto la materia del suo Lehrstück La Madre (1932) dall’omonimo romanzo di Maxim Gorki (1907) che narra la storia di Pelagia Vlassova che, convertita al pensiero politico del figlio Pavel e dei suoi amici, viene coinvolta nelle loro azioni clandestine e per questo chiamata da tutti La Madre. Il lavoro Tavola di orientamento/Brecht/La Madre-01/02, dedicato a un gruppo ristretto di giovani attori toscani, selezionati e guidati da Tiezzi, è un percorso-modello di formazione applicata al lavoro di produzione dello spettacolo.

In this second section of his three-years project with the 12 students/actors of the Laboratorio di Prato, Tiezzi completes his work on Bertolt Brecht’s play La Madre. The industrial history of Prato, with its workers’ struggles and the birth of the industrial district, was the starting point for the work of the Tavola di orientamento/Brecht/La Madre-01.
The confrontation of an inventory of fragments of lived memories with Brecht’s didactic drama reveals a short-circuit between “true” reality and Brecht’s text. Passages taken from the works of other authors enlighten the drama’s unilateral perspective. Bertolt Brecht took the material for his Lehrstück La Madre (1932) from Maxim Gorki's homonymous novel (1907), which tells the story of Pelagia Vlassova who,
converted to the political thought of her son Pavel and his friends, becomes involved in their clandestine actions, for which she becomes known as La Madre.
The work Tavola di orientamento/Brecht/La Madre-01/02, which is devoted to a limited group of young actors from Tuscany, chosen and guided by Tiezzi, is a model program of training applied to the theatrical production work.
